The Börman family

Who was Henrik Michelsson? We don’t know much about him. He was probably born in Perniö and he married Carin Larsdotter 29.10 1682. The Börman family is descended from these two persons.
Michel Andersson from Västanfjärd, Billböle, took the family name Börman in 1823.
Most of his children Anders, Johan, Gustaf, Abraham and Samuel used the name. Only the youngest boy Carl and their only sister Gustava Charlotta didn’t use it.

The family place of residence is Västanfjärd. There are many seamen and farmers in the family.
The family farm Billböle, Lillgård has been in the family since 1688. Michel Andersson was married into the farm 11.11.1794.
In a family meeting in Västanfjärd 10. 9. 2005 it was decided that a family association should be founded.

The association is open for all descendants of Henrik Michelsson. Those who wish to join the association may contact the board.
The purpose of the association is to preserve the family traditions and promote a feeling of belonging to the family, organise family reunions, collect, file and publish material concerning the family and its history.
